Right now I’m holding in my hands the Accept’s twelfth studio album Blood Of The Nations. It’s a German released 180-gram double pictured LP, comes with a beautiful gatefold sleeve. I can’t say I liked the album, because that would be nothing. I loved it. During last couple of months I listen to it almost every day. I really think this is the best metal album that was released in 2010 and one of the bests released in last several years.
I had a lot of doubts before I bough it. I felt a bit scary to get disappointed. I listen to Accept for more than 20 years and for me this band was always associated with the voice of Udo Dirkschneider. Now Accept has a new singer Mark Tornillo, the former singer of the American heavy metal band TT Quick. Personally I do not like when bands change their singers, because it starts to sound almost like a different band. Once Accept already did the change when David Reece became a band member. But this time it was completely different. Mark has integrated his classic heavy metal voice into the Accept’s style for 100%. I loved all songs on this disk. The LP also contains one bonus track “Time Machine” that is also awesome.
I’m really happy that today we still have good old Heavy Metal alive. This album is a must have item for all people who like Accept and Heavy Metal music. But the LP I bought will become a very valuable item of any LP collection. Can’t wait to see Accept on April 28 2011 at Regency Ballroom in San Francisco!
