After being waiting so long, finally it’s here, in my hands. The new Accept’s album Stalingrad released couple of days ago by German record label Nuclear Blast Records. After successfully released the Blood Of The Nations in 2010 my expectations to the new album are very high and looks like I’m getting what I want and what I need, the good old school Heavy Metal by the band that is one of my favorites.
It’s obvious, that having Mark Tornillo in the band, Accept folks got a second breath. As its predecessor, the new album continues to discuss the military themes, only in that case they also go a little bit to the history, but as we all know it’s still actual.
The album has ten songs, but the record contains also a bonus track “Never Forget” which I really liked as well as the following songs: “Stalingrad”, “Shadow Soldiers”, “Against The World”, “Twist of Fate” and “The Galley”.
The record is very beautiful. It comes on a limited edition 180 gram red and white vinyl with the colorful central logo having an eagle on fire above two crossed electric guitars, the album symbol that we see on the front side of the sleeve.
The gatefold sleeve has all the lyrics, band’s picture and the thanks section.
Also it comes with a nice middle-size Stalingrad poster.
Though I still think it was a very hard goal for the band to reach the “Blood Of The Nations” success, I’m very pleased of this Accept’s work and this beautiful double LP becomes another very valuable asset in my collection. Thank you guys, for spreading an awesome music around the world. Rock on! Hope to see you soon on Stalingrad tour here in California!
